Philosophy and Practice

Preschool is a very important stepping stone to your child's future. It is one of the most important ingredients to becoming all that you can be.  AWL's preschool staff works hard to let children learn how to think, make good choices and learning to act with purpose through play, lessons and activities that will prepare them for kindergarten. Middle School Program

The Academy of World Languages is committed to creating a safe learning environment for all staff and students. The staff has worked with students to create 3 main expectations for our school.

Academic and Behavioral Expectations

The design of the Middle School program reflects and prepares students for high school and beyond. Student days are divided into 6 periods: 2 bells for foreign language and fine arts and 4 bells for the core subjects of math, science, language arts, and social studies. Students are expected to take responsibility for their course work and behavior. This includes managing personal belongings and lockers, coming to school in uniform, transitioning between periods on time, and, above all, respecting each other and the learning environment.
